Great Stress Relief Remedies

Unfortunately as our world has developed and become faster paced, it has also become much more stressful.  In many cases this stress has become overwhelming and can lead to a physical and mental breakdown.  Stress can cause major damage to your health and if you don’t understand or manage your stress levels the long-term affects will begin to show.

The first step to be taken in order to relieve stress is to find a quiet space at home. Find a place that you can relax in without any disturbances or outside intrusions.  This can be your bedroom or even the garage; it doesn’t matter as long as you can feel peaceful and have a comfortable place to sit.  Once you have found this peaceful spot, make sure that you take time out every day to go there and relax, even if it’s just for 5 minutes.  Sit and take stock, be peaceful and relaxed.

In addition to finding a place to relax you may consider using herbal remedies.  A great stress relief remedy is actually Green Tea.  Green Tea contains Thiamine which is naturally occurring and promotes relaxation in the body.  It does this without causing any drowsiness or other unwanted side affect.

Other Stress relief remedies include aromatherapy.  Tangerine scent is thought to dissolve stress levels, it is also thought to help lower anxiety levels and stop you feeling irritable.  Lavender and Geranium have been used for a long time and are associated with relaxation.  Ylang-Ylang can help disperse angry tendencies and also nervousness and stress.  The great thing about aromatherapy is that you can include into your daily time-out routine.

Another idea is to incorporate a few Yoga moves.  Yoga is an ancient form of relaxation and used in conjunction with the time-out and aromatherapy you could be well on your way to stress free, happy living!
